Lajmi Coffee Roasters

Lajmi Coffee Roasters was established in January 2020 by father and son; Zouhair and Sofian Lajmi. The purpose of Lajmi is to create the best conditions for producing quality coffee. Sofian has many years of experience in the coffee industry, and these experiences allowed Sofian to identify gaps in the market, making it natural to start Lajmi Coffee Roasters. Zouhair has over 28 years of experience in the restaurant industry, so Lajmi brings extensive insight into and understanding of the industry.

The year 2020 was a very special year. We had barely started before the entire country shut down. This created a lot of challenges that are still relevant today. We have chosen to meet these challenges and try to adapt to the circumstances. During the year, we decided to expand the team with Christian, who is a coffee roaster, and Jakob, who is skilled in communication. Both are very passionate about coffee. We now have a strong team with a wide range of different competencies.

Identity

At Lajmi, our main goal is to deliver specialty coffee at a fair price. We value direct connections with farms and farmers and do everything we can to improve their working environment.

It is a long process to get a cup of coffee in your hands. This process consists of many stages; from cultivation, harvesting, washing methods, roasting, brewing, etc. We believe that to deliver the highest quality coffee, none of these parameters can be compromised. All these parameters influence the overall expression of the coffee. Therefore, we spend time selecting coffee and sustainable suppliers, and we experiment with roasting profiles and brewing methods.

One of Lajmi's core values is courage. That is, to be brave. We believe it takes courage to distance oneself from the existing coffee industry and the coffee you find in the supermarket. It takes courage to be in uncharted territory and not do what everyone else does. We believe that one develops the most when experimenting in the unknown. This does not mean that we don't know what we are doing. We have built up extensive knowledge and experience that gives us a stable foundation to further develop ourselves and our coffee.

We strive to always deliver freshly roasted coffee with a minimum score of 80 according to the international Speciality Coffee Association. We supply both private and business customers, offer coffee courses, repair machines, have a large selection of brewing and barista equipment, etc. You are always welcome to visit us in Lading or call to get an offer.
