More information:
Ceiba is a tree originally from Central America. For the Mayans, it was a sacred tree, and in Honduras, there is even a city called La Ceiba, known as “La Ceiba la bella” – the beautiful Ceiba.
Café Ceiba comes from several producers in the Marcala region of La Paz, Honduras, and the coffee is 100% organic.
The coffee is grown in collaboration with COMSA (Café Orgánico Marcala), a cooperative we have worked closely with since 2018. COMSA helps farmers transition from traditional farming to sustainable and environmentally friendly organic cultivation.
Producers receive ongoing training in both coffee cultivation and tasting to develop their craft. At the same time, the cooperative supports children's schooling in the local community – an important step to secure future generations.
